Notes

One of the more scenic trips. The ocean was visible from the road for most of the trip. Riding conditions were very windy. Gusts of wind would throw sand which hurt against skin. The group rode through tropical storm Alberto. Locals warned us, but the storm was nothing we had not ridden through before. My uncle eventually bailed, but my dad and I continued. Winds were very strong, which made progress slow. The route required taking multiple ferries to reach the next island. In one instance, we missed the last ferry, and had to stay on the island for the night. One day, my dad got sunscreen in his eyes and decided to ride in the car for the rest of the day. From this day forward, my dad was very cautious while applying spray on sunscreen.
