After exploring the city, we found a late night bicycle party (40+ riders) that just happened to riding by our hotel. So we joined the party for a few extra laps around the city. It was totally by surprise, but it was really fun riding with the locals.
03JUL – Return to Indiana
We really struggled to find a rental car to get back to Memphis, which was stressful. We made a reservation, which was not honored, so we had to ride 20 extra miles to Fort Worth International Airport and stand in line at several different vendors until we finally found someone willing to rent us a car (one way). We drove it back to Memphis, picked up my car (still at the Motel 6), and dropped the rental off at the Memphis International Airport.
